Ami (he/him, they/them) is an agender, non-binary, Indian-American, queer author, artist, designer, and boxer with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from CalArts. He is the managing editor, in addition to a poetry reader, for Wrongdoing Magazine, and review editor for the winnow magazine, as well as the co-founder of Gutslut Press. Their work has appeared in Fence, So It Goes: The Literary Journal of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, Inverted Syntax, Brave Voices, I Hope You’ll Still Love Me: A South Asian LGBTQIA+ Anthology, The Harpy Hybrid Review, and numerous other publications and exhibitions.
Additionally, he was a featured author for LUPERCALIApress's VULCANALIA '21 anthology and the runner-up of Baby Teeth's 2022 Black-Out Contest. They are the winner of Really Serious Literature's Beefy Chapbook Potato-Rito Remote Residency To-Go Contest XXL, and the author of [in]transpiring (swallow::tale press: 2021), Confessions of a Baby Vamp: Letters to John Milton (Gutslut Press: 2021), Baby Wraith Burrito Bones (Really Serious Literature: 2022), The Great Wraith Finale (Bullshit Magazine, 2022), Lipstick[less] Mania: A Ritual For No One (Bottlecap Press, 2022), and Into Oblivion (Sweat-Drenched Press, 2022).
